Direct Work with the Residents
 
Volunteer In A Pinch (VIP):
Provide personal short term assistance to clients with everyday
tasks such as transporting clients to near by destinations, such
as grocery shopping, medical appointments, school etc.
 
Professional Partners:
Mentor or assist the agency in garnering job placements for our clients.
 
Physical Fitness Trainer:
Provide our clients with the basics in fitness and training. Demonstrate simple
routines that will encourage better health and fitness among our clients.
 
Tutors:
Provide Vocational/Educational participants with one-on-one or group assistance
in the basics of math, writing, computer skills and study habits. Must be competent
in working with adult learners.
 
Recreational Volunteers:
Help our clients engage in social and fun activities, by organizing
and facilitating
recreational activities. We are looking for people who are creative, friendly and
energetic.

Painting:
Help us beautify our transitional housing facilities.
 
Apartment Cleaning/Furniture Moving:
Assist residents with general maintenance activities associated with having an apartment.
 
Holiday Helpers:
Wrap and deliver presents to clients and loved ones during the holidays.

Interacting with the Community
 
Street & Health Fairs:
Help set up and man tables at street & health fairs to raise awareness for our clients
while recruiting additional volunteers.
 
Speakers Bureau:
Share your story or that of your loved ones by speaking to groups (or providing
outlets for our speakers) about issues facing people with HIV/AIDS.

Providing Professional Assistance
 
Administrative Help:
Assist our staff in the completion of administrative tasks such as filing, data entry,
photocopying and telephone coverage.
 
Professional Internships:
Earn credit for college while you learn the inner workings of a nonprofit organization.
Develop and manage assigned projects while receiving mentoring from seasoned
professionals involved in social service delivery.

Fundraising and Special Events
 
World AIDS Day & HIV/STD Awareness Week:
Assist the agency as it celebrates those residents who continue to face and fight their
battle with AIDS.
 
Key Awards:
Assist the agency as we recognize our community partners and volunteers who
support us as we fulfill our agency's mission.
